about
Maria Cochinita started using the name Vaginals for her then solo musical effort in 1996. In 1998 she saw this scene in The Big Lebowski with Maude Lebowski talking about her artistic vision and how it relates to the word vagina. This scene validated Maria's own views about the word and how it related to her own personal artistic vision. She had been continually criticized about using the name Vaginals for her project and, although she had always firmly believed in the name, she finally felt a vindication and affirmation of her choice in using the word. Thanks Coen Bros!
